What gets measured
You never type a name, email address or phone number on this site. To see which sections people read, the page sends a few anonymous events: that a page was opened, how far it was scrolled, and whether an app link was tapped, with the spot on the page it sat in. Each event carries the page address, the referring site, campaign tags in the link if there are any, your browser language and operating system, and a random ID kept in your browser. Your IP address is used to estimate a rough location and is not kept in full.
Who processes it
The events pass through a small function on this site's own server and are stored by an analytics provider with servers in the European Union. They are used only to understand and improve the site. Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with advertisers.
Storage in your browser
No cookies are set. The site keeps a random visitor ID and a session ID in your browser's storage; the session ID resets after 30 minutes of inactivity. Clearing site data removes both, and blocking scripts stops the measurement without changing what you can read.
App store links
Buttons for the Confidently app point to /begin-now on this site. That address checks your browser's user agent and forwards you to Google Play on Android or to the App Store on every other device, passing the button's position on to Google Play as a referrer. It keeps no record of you. Once you reach a store, the privacy terms of Apple or Google and of the app apply.
Your choices
You can ask for the events linked to your random ID to be deleted by writing to the address above. Since that ID is not tied to who you are, clearing this site's storage in your browser is the quickest way to start fresh.
